Matthew Caruana
Presenting at the Sydney MHIS Conference
Presentation: From The Ground Up
At 16, Matt had a tragic incident that left him paraplegic and he returned back to school after 6 months in Term 3 of Year 11. Matt shares the journey of how his school supported him to boost his strengths and bounce back from his mental health struggles. He then built upon that foundation to break a Guinness World Record, represent Australia in wheelchair basketball and live to be an example of hope for others.
